Admission Procedure

Engineering Department Instructors responsible for departmental capstone courses may elect to suggest a number of their projects for the multidisciplinary APSC 496 course.  Fourth-year students from all participating departments will be made aware of these common APSC 496 projects in the context of the team formation and project selection phase at the start of the Capstone course at the beginning of Term 1 each year.  If a student is interested in one of the APSC 496 projects, and if there is sufficient interest from students in other departments, then a 4-8 person team is formed and at least 2 faculty supervisors selected from different departments to supervise the team.  The team will follow the syllabus agreed upon by the departments.  At this point, the departments and programs who have participated in APSC 496 are MECH, EECE and EngPhys.
